Our Story
Allegheny & Oak began on a working farm in the mountains of western Virginia. What started with a sawmill, a kiln, and a desire to responsibly steward local forests quickly became something larger: a belief that the products we surround ourselves with should tell a story.
The mountains have always rewarded patience. Trees take decades to mature. Craftsmanship takes years to develop. Character takes a lifetime. We embrace that philosophy in everything we do.
Hardwood Lumber & Timber
We produce a carefully selected collection of premium Appalachian hardwoods, including white oak, walnut, cherry, maple, and specialty woods known for their beauty and character.
Whether you're a furniture maker, craftsman, builder, or hobbyist, our lumber is selected and dried with the same care we would expect for our own projects.
Kiln-dried hardwood lumber
Live-edge slabs
Mantels and beams
Furniture-grade hardwoods
Specialty and figured woods
Limited custom milling
Healthy forests produce exceptional wood. We believe responsible forest management, selective harvesting, wildlife habitat improvement, and long-term stewardship are essential to preserving the landscapes we love.
Through thoughtful land management and a respect for natural systems, we aim to leave our forests better than we found them.
